a few oldies from the ballykelly scene back about 1993.

    DD grindbar action

DD again wearing my hydrant t shirt, about to unleash a massive lazerflip

Me in full Pat Duffy phase. check out the tiny 40mm wheels, the deathbox triple stich jeans and the red Puma Clydes - grim (trivia - the blue rail was the rail from the 92 limavady comp)

Impossible off the curb. rig includes - airwalk velocity wellington boots, fake salman agah rugby shirt (i felt tipped on my own 'camel'). 101 natas graffiti slick, thunder t4s and spitfire buffered tablets. the deck probably broke that day as i remember being left without a board for the limavady comp 93 about a week later- lousy

I remember Dords wearing those Airwalk Velocitys at Mass in Ballykelly Chapel, 1992.

"Fuck, that dude walking up to receive Holy Commuinion must be a skater!!"

Oh aye, when I skated it the curb in the 2nd pic was a pure death trap. There must have been at least a half an inch thick of pure wax on it!. Probably the slippiest curb in Irish skate history. (!!)

Red Converse might be Gavin Hill. Fletch on a freestyle board?!? Where the fuck did you dig that out of?

Guy standing up on the wall in the first photo might be Dermot of the loose trucks (Dave Hicky and Rosie's pal).

My parents brought them round a good while back they found them when sorting out a big bag of photos out in their old gaff in Kilcock. Classic Fletch elbows going on there tyranasurus fletchus in effect! The 2CV parked on the road dates it nicely. Don't think thats Gavin Hill he had a skinnier face. Thats your old vision board on the wall next to him though I think. Anyone hazard a guess at a year the photo was taken. Late 80s I reckon.

Fletch really rocked when Flipper-John was in da house...on Acid
I remember a day spent contemplatin how a board rotated mid-flip through hallucegenic eyes

    Check out Shaggy the beanpole!

We should talk to Connor, Fletch and Vic and do a reshoot, 2010 style!

Shag, have you still got those photos from the weekend trip we did to Enniskillen back in the day? I seem to remember some good shots of the mental hospital banks and a bit of early handrail action.

There is bound to be old photos of Derek floating about. He was rad alright. Me and Jay actually bumped him a couple of years ago at Bushy. It was great to see he was still skating after all these years. Dords has video footage of him busting a 50-50 to lipslizza that day.

That looks like a Dave North boneless to me - speaking of which, Dave showed me this video decades ago - and now its on Youtube!

Pretty sure that's me on the boneless (somehow I came 3rd in the 'non-ollie' group), Dave's that day took in the whole width of the bowl. Yeah, that's Dave on the grass in the last pic from that link, Jay Donaldson belongs to the board with the 'SOLD' sticker, it was either a Templeton or a Chris Miller, I'm in the background with the knobbly knees and indie-ass hair.
